The folks at Wildwood’s Barefoot Country Fest have announced today their new Aug 2021 date and lineup (so far)! This date moves from the June 2021 date previously announced.
Headliner Carrie Underwood is still in the lineup for 2021, adding the Zac Brown Band as another premiere headliner!
Dan + Shay are taking a third headliner slot, and classic Southern Rock Band Lynyrd Skynyrd are also performing! Many more to be announced!
Missing from the rescheduled event is fan favorite Blake Shelton.
Rescheduled from 2020
Wildwood’s bigtime Country Concert was originally scheduled for 2020, but like almost every concert event.. it did not take place. Organizers then were targeting a June date for 2021.
But Wild Over the Wildwoods noticed the event date change this morning on their Facebook page: Aug 19-22, 2021
We then did some quick research. The team at Cat Country 107.3 have more details on the concert event, and they are giving away tickets!
Cat Country says organizers reached out to New Jersey Governor Murphy regarding their plans for the event, and were told a date later in the summer would be better, to give them time to distribute the vaccine!
This side-story is maybe bigger than the concert… apparently Murphy feels we should be back to normal by the end of the summer!?!
The Cat Country article also says they will be announcing another headliner soon, and the full festival list of performers!
