Santorini Restaurant is set to open this April in the former Backfin Blues building on Rio Grande. This is according to commercial real estate firm, Vantage!

The location puts the new restaurant right at the foot of the Wildwood bridge, where the new Rio Grande flood control road work was recently completed.

Popular restaurants across the street include Urie’s, Boathouse and Beach Creek.

The Vantage press release says the new owner Florian Furxhiu plans to create a beautiful dining experience, complete with a rooftop bay view. Vantage adds that the restaurant group has over 40 years of experience in the industry.

The plans for the menu theme at Santorini is:

Mediterranean dishes with authentic Greek and Italian flair

Backfin Blues of course had a full liquor license, but at this time we aren’t clear if Santorini will be taking it over.

Mark from Wild Over the Wildwoods found what could be their upcoming Facebook page (Literally was the first “like”!) and the logo identifies it as BYOB.

Exciting news for 2021.. so much is happening, and we have a ton more stories to report on!
