The Hobby Lobby website indicates that the new Deptford store opens on March 7th.  The new store is located on Almonesson Rd, in the Shopping Center that recently saw the opening of a new Burlington Store, and is also home to long standing popular spots; Olive Garden, Red Lobster and Chuck E Cheese.

Hobby Lobby is taking over the location where the original Circuit City was located, as well as down to the corner where Branch Brook Pools was located.

The shopping center is going through an extensive facelift and is far enough along to get the true feeling of what the final center will be.

This area of Almonesson Road has seen a tremendous rebirth the last 2 years, and has turned into a home décor hotspot with Home Goods, Christmas Tree Shoppes, Pier One and now Hobby Lobby…  all in the same one block area, and all significantly featuring home décor items.

Looking at Hobby Lobby as a craft store, this will be Deptforfd’s THIRD, as it is already home to AC Moore amd Michael’s.

Earlier this month NJ.com posted a story about hiring taking place for the new Deptford Store.  Hobby Lobby is known for paying higher retail wages as well as being closed on Sundays. .

This is the second recent new opening in our area.  Last fall a store opened up in Sicklerville along Cross-Keys Road.   For more details on Hobby Lobby and what the offer, check out our post from October

The Sicklerville store also scheduled an official Monday opening, but had a soft opening starting on Friday just a few days before.  We have no word on if the Deptford store will follow the same pattern, but one could assume…
